Newborn Registration Nightmare at St Mary's Surgery

(This particular review is almost 5 weeks late) What an utterly abysmal medical practice... their administrative skills and communication are woefully inadequate. They're less organized than a chaotic under-5's football team. Attempting to register my newborn baby at this surgery, I was initially handed a new registration form and instructed to return it. A week later, exhausted with a two-week-old infant in tow, I battled through parking challenges on St Marys Street - courtesy of South Gloucestershire's bizarre decision to partially close the rock street car park for some planters - only to enter and be told I needed my red book. "This wasn't mentioned during my initial registration inquiry," I protested, but the dismissive receptionist coldly stated it was policy and registration was impossible without it. Humiliated, I retreated home like a chastised child. Upon returning within 10 minutes, I discovered they had abruptly closed for a two-hour training session. Notably, the receptionist had conveniently omitted mentioning this imminent closure during my earlier interaction. This review is delayed due to yet another deplorable service experience with St Mary's Street Surgery receptionists - whom I've dubbed 'the Thornbury Gestapo' for their ruthlessly authoritarian approach. Their standard response to any inquiry is an unapologetic "no appointments, 4-week pre-booking only, call tomorrow morning at 08:30" - effectively forcing patients into an bureaucratic rat race.
