Nightmare surgery with terrible triage and communication
To speak candidly and directly, I have encountered substantial challenges with medical practices across the region. However, my interactions with this particular surgery have been nothing short of HORRIFIC. Upon initially registering, I attempted to secure a face-to-face consultation with any physician to discuss medication management. In sheer frustration, I even resorted to paying privately for a consultation. Subsequently, additional complications with Mansion House have emerged. Never before have I experienced such difficulty scheduling a GP appointment. Their triage process is unnecessarily complex and inefficient. It begins with an intrusive interrogation by a receptionist regarding the reason for seeking medical attention (with only one displaying any semblance of compassion). I question the logic of divulging confidential medical information to an untrained administrative staff member. After enduring the receptionist's screening, you might—if fortunate—have your request reviewed by a clinician, who holds absolute power in determining the appointment's necessity. Throughout this process, no one genuinely considers you holistically, particularly challenging for patients with complex medical histories. I've reviewed my medical records, and the documented comments are deeply troubling. What makes this surgery believe their system surpasses the traditional method of simply calling at designated morning or afternoon times—a approach used by most practices, albeit imperfect, but functional? Furthermore, their repeat prescription process is fundamentally flawed, failing to ensure patients receive required medications efficiently and reliably. Legally, everyone must register with a GP, especially in areas with limited healthcare options. Current NHS guidelines essentially trap patients within potentially inadequate healthcare systems, compromising individual well-being and creating additional stress for those managing complex, life-limiting conditions. This surgery represents an uncomfortable and impractical healthcare environment, a consequence of the postcode lottery determining patient healthcare choices.
My kid's been pestering me about getting a medical excuse for her job, and she submitted her own self-certification. I'm wondering if we're in there too often, like some folks tend to be, or if it's..
