I made a complaint about Dr Tawana 6 months ago and despite requesting updates several times, I’ve received no response.
Dr Tawana was so disrespectful to my husband who was in a great deal of pain in a telephone consultation and casually mentioned he had cancer when other medical professionals were waiting to see outcomes of medical investigations before discussing this.He advised my husband that it was his own fault that he hadn’t yet received a scan appointment as he must be calling the wrong number and then asked’do you know how many people are diagnosed with cancer each week at this surgery’, to emphasise he was just one of many. I cried when I heard the way he treated him. My husband died 4 weeks later. This is not the first time I’ve heard a conversation with this GP being disrespectful but I must add every other GP we saw at the surgery were kind and supportive.
