Nurse Denied Dressings After Surgery Despite Qualifications

I recently underwent surgery and, as a retired qualified nurse, I found myself in need of urgent care. Unfortunately, I could not secure an appointment with the nurse quickly enough to get new dressings; the wait was two weeks. To mitigate this situation, I am willing to manage my own wound care. However, I was quite disappointed by the receptionist's demeanor when she refused to provide her full name, only mentioning it was Liz. Despite explaining my circumstances—caring for a husband with brain damage while trying to maintain composure—the receptionist showed no understanding or compassion. This behavior is truly disgraceful.
