Online booking system makes appointments needlessly difficult

The staff members are pleasant when you manage to interact with them directly. The digital appointment booking system is quite frustrating, incorporating numerous irrelevant questions that appear designed to discourage completion through tedium. Many health concerns that patients may want to discuss are absent from the preset options, necessitating a manual text entry that is time-consuming to complete. You'll typically receive an appointment at one of several different sites, which may be inconveniently located, or alternatively a link to arrange your own appointment. It's unusual to encounter a GP practice that mandates in-person consultations as the default option for straightforward referral requests, yet no alternative is provided. If you attempt to contact the practice by telephone, the experience is similarly challenging. You progress through the queue system only to discover you were waiting in an initial queue for access to a substantially longer secondary queue. The automated system encourages you to use the online platform, which lacks adequate functionality, or attempts to remove you from the queue by transferring you to an automated receptionist service. There's also a callback option that can be selected but frequently fails to function as intended. While the practice may be preferable to some neighbouring surgeries, I find it difficult to recommend, as accessing care through standard channels proves unreasonably difficult and often unsuccessful.
