Overworked surgery fails to provide adequate medical care

Since registering with this surgery in 2017, I have always found them responsive to our family's needs. However, recently, it seems they are struggling with insufficient qualified GPs to provide adequate patient care. I've consulted the same 'clinical practitioner' three times within a fortnight about an identical issue. The problem was clearly infection-related, evident even to a layperson. After persistently advocating for treatment, I was referred under the cancer pathway due to my initial symptoms, despite it being obvious I had an infection. Instead of prescribing antibiotics, despite my repeated phone and in-person pleas, I was referred to ENT, with an expected two-week wait before being seen. The pain and swelling significantly impacted my ability to swallow, eat, sleep, and maintain general wellbeing. Due to the lack of a qualified doctor's review, I risked developing sepsis. NHS 111 advised me to visit A&E - essentially just to obtain antibiotics. Fortunately, I had some previously prescribed penicillin, which improved my condition dramatically within 36 hours. Similarly, my adult daughter's autism assessment appointment with a 'senior clinical practitioner' resulted in a referral under the children's pathway, unnecessarily extending her wait for an accurate assessment. Dr Minhas, the only qualified GP who genuinely listens and acts based on patient input rather than bureaucratic processes, is frustratingly difficult to schedule with - his appointments are extremely rare.
