Persistent problems with mill road surgery

MY 2ND COMPLAINT To: NHS England and Mill rd surgery– Patient Complaints Subject: Formal Complaint and Request for Support – Mill Road Surgery Dear Sir/Madam, I am submitting a formal complaint about Mill Road Surgery and seeking urgent intervention to ensure I can continue to access appropriate NHS healthcare. I have experienced persistent and significant failings in my care at Mill Road Surgery that have profoundly impacted both my physical and mental wellbeing. These repeated issues represent what I consider a serious breach of professional medical duty. Prescription Problems I consistently received incorrect prescriptions. For instance, when requesting Doverbet, the surgery repeatedly provided an alternative medication that proved ineffective. Prescription processing often took two to three weeks. Medication was illogically split between "Pharmacy2U" and a local pharmacy, forcing unnecessary additional trips despite my intention to use a delivery service. These experiences caused substantial frustration and inconvenience. Dermatology Referral & Psoriasis Despite multiple requests for a psoriasis referral, the surgery repeatedly failed to process or place me on the appropriate list. Consequently, my psoriasis dramatically spread, covering approximately 75% of my body and causing extreme physical distress. My condition became so severe that my skin would split and bleed, rendering walking nearly impossible. During my worst period over Christmas, my sister had to assist me due to my limited mobility. Proper treatment only commenced after I filed a formal complaint. Upon receiving appropriate medication, my condition finally began improving, demonstrating the significant harm caused by their repeated care failures. Complaint Management I have previously submitted two formal complaints regarding these issues. Rather than addressing them, the surgery requested I retract my complaints, which I initially considered to potentially improve our relationship. Following recent events, I cannot in good conscience withdraw them, as the care deficiencies remain serious and unresolved. Surgery Incident I want to be transparent about the incident leading to my removal. I was so emotionally distressed, angry, and unstable that I cannot fully recall the conversation. I was not in control of myself. This was not intentional aggression, but a result of my mental health crisis following years of inadequate care. I sincerely regret what occurred and hope NHS England will view this as evidence of my health deterioration, rather than a reflection of my character. Impact The recurring prescription errors, delayed dermatology referral, and complaint mismanagement caused physical pain, mental health decline, and unnecessary suffering. My psoriasis became extensive and severe due to treatment and referral delays, which I believe were entirely preventable with timely, appropriate care. My Requests 1. Immediate support in registering with a new GP practice – I cannot be left without primary healthcare. 2. A comprehensive, independent review of Mill Road Surgery's care management, specifically addressing delays, prescription issues, and failures surrounding my dermatology referral and treatment. 3. An examination of how my complaints were handled, including the request to retract them. 4. Acknowledgment of the health impact – the surgery's repeated failures caused unnecessary suffering and condition deterioration. I emphasize my commitment to moving forward constructively and working respectfully with healthcare providers. However, I believe Mill Road Surgery must be held accountable for their failings, and I urgently need NHS England's support to ensure I receive the healthcare I am entitled to. Yours sincerely, Shame I couldn't give zero stars
