Pharmacy mix-up delayed urgent inhaler access

An incorrect item was included on my prescription. When I contacted the practice to resolve this urgently regarding a respiratory medication, I was informed it might arrive that day or the following day. I requested a telephone consultation with a clinician to discuss the matter, but this request was declined. My local pharmacy had to intervene by sending an email to the practice on my behalf. I eventually received the correct medication in the late afternoon, which I'm grateful to my pharmacy for facilitating rather than the reception staff.
