Pharmacy prescription nightmare ruins holiday cheer

I'm thoroughly frustrated with the misleading automated message claiming they'll contact you about prescription issues. I wasted my time driving to the pharmacy, sitting around for a quarter-hour, only to be informed at the counter that I've requested my medication too soon. Despite explaining that I'm trying to be proactive because my prescription falls during the holiday period between Christmas and New Year, they've dismissed my concerns. Now I'm forced to reorder on Monday the 20th, with no guarantee the prescription will be ready by Christmas Eve. This is incredibly inconvenient, especially for someone my age (76) who shouldn't have to deal with such unnecessary stress during the holiday season.
