Phone booking staff didn't listen properly to request

I am writing to share my experience regarding a phone call I made this morning to book a blood test appointment for my son. I have always had very good experiences with our GP practice, particularly with the clinical staff and reception team at our local branch. They are consistently polite, patient, and helpful, which I truly appreciate. However, during today's call, the staff member I spoke with did not seem to listen properly and came across as rude. I was trying to book an appointment for my son, but without confirming details such as date of birth, they checked the system only under my name and then informed me that there was nothing in the system and that I should call the pharmacy. I then had to clarify that the appointment was for my son, not myself. Due to the tone of voice, I was confused and initially made an assumption about the staff member's gender. This was not intended as any form of disrespect. Once corrected, I immediately understood my mistake. Unfortunately, the response I received felt abrupt and unprofessional. I felt that the staff member may have been in a rush and made assumptions without fully listening. I wanted to share this feedback as it was disappointing compared to the usually excellent service I receive. Thank you for taking the time to read my concern.
