Phone call didn't lead to proper follow-up care

I have been experiencing pain for the past week related to a nerve issue affecting my chest and back. I spent six hours at the hospital yesterday. The doctor called me today to discuss pain management options and blood pressure medication. However, I felt that the pain relief offered was insufficient, particularly given that the hospital had recommended I obtain pain relief through my GP. This morning, I needed assistance from my neighbour to get up off the floor, and I expressed my frustration to the doctor about not receiving adequate pain relief. During that call this morning, I mentioned that I no longer wanted to continue in this situation. The call ended at around 10 o'clock, and several hours have passed without any follow-up contact to check on my wellbeing. The only reason I am still here is because a friend has been keeping me company and providing support.
