Phone consultations delay proper diagnosis and investigation

The practice appears reluctant to conduct face-to-face consultations, instead relying heavily on telephone assessments when appointments can be obtained. There seems to be a tendency to issue prescriptions without thoroughly investigating underlying causes, with multiple courses of medication prescribed consecutively before considering diagnostic testing for potentially serious conditions, which in this case proved significant. Referrals to emergency services have been made for suspected injuries without physical examination of the affected area. While the online triage system is understood to be necessary, its utility is questionable when it becomes unavailable early in the day, sometimes closing by mid-afternoon or even mid-morning, limiting patient access to initial assessment.
