Phone lines took days to get through

It took me three days of attempting to reach the practice before I could speak to someone. I was then informed that I would need to phone on the day of my appointment to check availability rather than booking in advance. This seems impractical given the difficulty in getting through, as the phone lines are either constantly ringing without answer or engaged. Additionally, I was told that blood tests could only be carried out in the morning, which differs from my previous experience of having them done in the afternoon over many years. I am extremely frustrated with this situation and am now considering having the procedure done elsewhere.
