Phone-only booking system makes appointments impossible

The practice has discontinued telephone appointment bookings, leaving only two alternatives: competing for same-day slots at 8am (which is impractical for those with school commitments) or attempting online booking from 6pm onwards, resulting in waits of several weeks for earlier appointments. Despite being ready well in advance, securing a timely appointment proved extremely difficult. This approach feels problematic and dismissive of patient needs, raising concerns about potential harm to vulnerable individuals. Many older patients lack the knowledge or digital access required for online booking. Despite a long-standing relationship with the surgery, the current system has prompted consideration of seeking care elsewhere.
