Phone queue attitude let me down badly

I cannot fault the clinical staff at all. Once you navigate through the telephone system, this review is scored as fairly as possible as they are excellent. However, the receptionist who answered my call yesterday was quite unhelpful. I waited 15 minutes for someone to pick up. When they did, I was greeted with an unfriendly tone from the start. I explained that I was unable to order my repeat prescription through the app. They offered to send me a password reset without first asking whether that was actually the problem. I clarified that I had no difficulty accessing the app itself, only that it was preventing me from placing the order. They didn't enquire further, simply stating they cannot process prescription requests over the telephone. I asked what steps I should take to obtain my prescription, and they curtly told me to send a message via the app and that someone would respond eventually. When I requested guidance on how to do this, as I hadn't been asked to do so previously, they abruptly provided instructions. I was somewhat surprised by their dismissive manner but thanked them regardless. Upon returning to the app to send the message, I received an error stating that this function was unavailable. I called back later and spoke with another member of reception who was remarkably accommodating. They were very attentive, explained the timescales for receiving my prescription, and were genuinely helpful. I'm uncertain why the first receptionist was so unhelpful, but I found their approach frustrating when all I needed was assistance obtaining my repeat prescription. It's unfortunate that the overall rating has been affected by the conduct of a single staff member.
