The digital scheduling platform has been discontinued, forcing patients to phone precisely at 8am, endure a lengthy phone wait, and hope to be among the fortunate few who secure a same-day telehealth consultation. This approach is akin to compelling ill and fragile individuals to crowd outside the clinic, with only the swiftest gaining medical attention. While I recognize the healthcare system is under significant strain, there must be a more humane and efficient method for allocating appointments than this anxiety-inducing, survival-of-the-quickest system. I want to emphasize that this critique is not directed at the medical personnel, who consistently demonstrate empathy and professionalism.
