When attempting to clarify an error that occurred, the situation was handled in a way that felt dismissive, with the focus shifted onto the patient rather than addressing the underlying concern. The interaction came across as discourteous and fell short of professional standards. The practice would benefit from additional training in mental health awareness and communication skills.
