Phone queue turned away when unwell

I contacted my local practice and requested to speak with a clinician. I was informed that they had no available appointments. At the time of my call, I was experiencing significant health concerns and felt I required prompt medical attention. The practice advised me to contact the NHS helpline instead. That service was able to assist me and help arrange the medication I needed. I find it frustrating that my practice appears unable to accommodate patients when they contact them seeking help. This has been a recurring pattern throughout my experience with them.
