Phone triage sent me to wrong service unnecessarily

Called today to request an appointment regarding what I believed to be a soft tissue injury. I was redirected to an urgent care centre based on a telephone assessment suggesting a potential serious circulatory condition. The clinician at urgent care assessed me and indicated there was minimal risk of this condition, confirming instead a minor soft tissue issue. This redirection resulted in me missing a full day of work, whereas attending the surgery would have allowed me to keep to my schedule. The urgent care appointment itself was brief, lasting around 10 minutes, during which I received advice on managing the injury and was informed of an expected recovery timeframe of approximately 6 weeks.
