Poor communication and vague referral information

I have found the service at this GP practice to be disappointing overall. On several occasions, I have felt that communication has been inadequate and support has been lacking. After taking time to explain my health concerns in detail through the consultation form, I received a telephone call during which I was asked what I thought should be done. It seemed unhelpful to be questioned in this way when the reason for seeking medical advice was precisely because I needed professional guidance. Similarly, regarding a hospital scan referral, I was informed that an appointment letter would arrive by post. After three weeks passed without receiving anything, I contacted the reception team, who then advised me that no letter would be coming and that I would need to contact the hospital directly to obtain information about my referral status. Patients should be able to expect straightforward communication and reliable information. In my case, this has not been my experience. This situation is particularly frustrating considering that NHS services are supported by the regular financial contributions made by working individuals.
