Poor experience trying to get a hearing aid referral

I am hoping this will be read by management who can review the training the admin staff are given when referring a patient for a hearing aid test. My husband and I, have been trying to get him a hearing aid test for two weeks. Each time we call we are told the referral has been done, but spec savers said they have not received it. Then today we ascertained that they had sent it to Stourbridge, instead of Kingswinford. So we called Stourbridge, they hadn't received it either. I have sent in total at least four admin request forms asking for someone to call us to discuss, we have not had a single call back, and each time we ring, we are stuck in a queue sometimes up to an hour. A very kind lady at Specsavers has now resolved this on our behalf. She has spoken to the practice who repeatedly said they are sending the referral, but it has apparently been sent to my husbands NHS app, of which he doesn't use, so he was never going to receive the referral. It is worth remembering that not everyone is internet savvy, and do not have mobile phones with apps connected to the internet, and had this been explained last week, we could have avoided wasting everyone's time.
