Practice needs better email monitoring systems

Overall a positive experience, though there are concerns about email management processes. A referral was submitted via NHS Right to Choose through email following a discussion with the clinical team, but the referral does not appear to have been processed or sent onwards for approximately a year. This delay only came to light when contact was made to enquire about waiting list status. Given the pressures on waiting lists at the time, this resulted in an appointment being scheduled significantly later than would have been expected from the original referral date. There was no subsequent apology or acknowledgement regarding the delay.
