Prescription Forgotten on Receptionist's Desk

I was utterly stunned when I visited the pharmacy on Tuesday the 15th to pick up my recurring medication, only to discover that my prescription, which had been signed on October 10th, was still languishing in a tray and not forwarded to the chemist. As a diabetic, I found this oversight completely unacceptable. The receptionist's behavior is tarnishing the practice's reputation, as front desk staff are the face of the service and her attitude was far from professional. She seemed completely indifferent to the situation and didn't even offer a simple apology. In stark contrast, the doctors are exemplary - professional, respectful, and compassionate. It's frustrating that such excellent medical care might be overshadowed by poor administrative handling. Why should a practice with such high-quality medical professionals have to endure negative feedback due to front office incompetence?
