Prescription refill took days longer than promised

I requested a prescription refill on Monday and was informed it would be available at the pharmacy by Tuesday, or Wednesday at the latest. When I visited the pharmacy on Tuesday, I was told they had not received it. I returned to the pharmacy today only to learn that it had not been dispatched by the practice. My medication supply ended after Monday, and this is not something I can discontinue without consequence. The pharmacy has now indicated it will be ready for collection tomorrow, though I have reservations about this timeline. Over the past two days, I have been without my medication and have noticed unwanted effects from not taking it, alongside missing the benefits it normally provides. This experience has left me disappointed with the level of service provided by the practice.
