Prescription refills blocked by endless phone queues

Extremely disappointing experience, consistently redirected to call 111, having a young child requiring ongoing medication that was initially prescribed by the practice but when attempting to obtain a repeat prescription informed that no appointments are available despite calling at different times and instructed to contact 111 instead. The 111 service online guidance indicates contacting the GP for this matter, resulting in being passed back and forth without resolution. The standard of care appears to have significantly deteriorated. Planning to switch practices immediately, would advise caution to families relying on this service for essential support when needed.
