Prescription window closed just after noon cutoff

I attempted to renew my medications online and found that everything required a review, so I called the surgery shortly after midday. The automated message indicated that prescriptions are processed during specific windows in the morning and afternoon. When I eventually reached a receptionist, I was informed that I had missed the cutoff time by a few minutes and would need to call back later in the day. I had explained that I had just tried the online system and contacted them promptly once I realised a review was necessary. It seems there could be more flexibility around these appointment windows, as many people may struggle to make calls during the fixed times that work for the practice's schedule.
