Priory surgery nightmare scheduling and broken appointments

The administrative setup at Priory Surgery is a complete mess. Scheduling an appointment is incredibly challenging. I've attempted to call multiple times on the recommended days and times, only to be repeatedly redirected to different dates and weeks. Their supposedly efficient online booking system has been equally useless - I've received no response after 3.5 weeks of waiting. During my sole successful appointment attempt, myself and 3-4 other patients endured nearly an hour of waiting, only to learn the GP we were scheduled to see wasn't even at the practice that day. We were instructed to return in the afternoon to see an alternative doctor. This was extremely inconvenient, having taken the morning off work, and represented a total waste of time. While I acknowledge the immense pressures facing NHS services, I'm accustomed to extended waiting periods. However, the booking process should not be this arduous, and patients should reasonably expect to see a doctor within their scheduled appointment time. The administrative and management systems desperately require a comprehensive review and staff retraining. The entire experience is profoundly frustrating and demoralising. I'm genuinely concerned that my medical condition might worsen, given my month-long struggle to secure an appointment. I've awarded one star solely for the alternative GP who was excellent and the select reception staff members who maintained professionalism and politeness.
