Queensway surgery mixed bag of medical care

Since relocating in May, we've switched from Lockwood surgery due to the manager's highly unprofessional comments to my wife regarding her foot concern, suggesting that since she'd consulted a specialist, they shouldn't assist. A subsequent £800 scan at Spire confirmed her foot issue. Lockwood was truly terrible, whereas Queensway has been significantly better, though not perfect. The reception staff are mostly exceptional, with one staff member being occasionally dismissive. Similarly, the doctors vary - some are genuinely committed to helping and investigating problems thoroughly. However, after her injury 12 weeks ago at the Vic, she's practically become disabled, using only one hand. The x-ray took ten weeks, and there's a persistent feeling that medical staff perform tests out of obligation rather than genuine concern. She hasn't slept properly since the injury, and we anticipate further months of waiting and struggling. While some doctors have shown sympathy, Dr Tunji is absolutely terrible. When my wife has two debilitating conditions, he's been incredibly unhelpful, repeatedly asking "what do you expect me to do?" and implying she's self-diagnosing, despite professional physiotherapy and chiropractic evidence. He even defended the nurse who injured her simply because of past workplace connections. Her hand injury prevents her from typing or doing light housework without extreme pain. If seeking medical help, request an alternative doctor to avoid unacceptable treatment. Dr Tunji's approach seems limited to prescribing painkillers, which is problematic given my wife's need to limit medication due to existing health issues. Overall, it's a 70/30 good/bad experience, characterized by extreme difficulty contacting doctors - sometimes requiring 110 redialing attempts and 30-60 minutes to connect. Appointments are scarce, and only three out of seven doctors are genuinely helpful. The remaining reception staff have been incredibly supportive during these 12 weeks of distress. Dr Greenwood and several female doctors have been particularly compassionate and proactive.
