Query regarding text message

Can anyone explain why both myself and my husband received text messages on the 13 th January 2025 stating that our second shingles jab is due and to book an appointment. Which we did and the appointment was on the 20th Feb 2025 at 3.15. When the nurse check our records she said we can have the jab,as it is to soon there need to be a 6 months gap. This was very inconvenient as due to bowel probably I have I can come by public transport, so my husband booked his appointment on at the same time and had to take the afternoon off work to attend this appointment. Why was this text sent out . Why was it not check at time of booking the appointments. Why waste NHS money on appointment not needed Will my husband be reimbursed the half day pay he has lost. ( I don’t think so.)
