My parent recently registered at a local surgery in the North East after relocating to the region following an extended period away. Their experience has been excellent. I had concerns that, given their age, they might not receive adequate attention. However, whenever they have required assistance with both physical and mental health matters, the surgery has responded remarkably promptly and effectively. They have been able to obtain same-day appointments, had healthcare professionals visit their home to conduct comprehensive assessments, received test results within a day, and accessed mental health support after a brief waiting period. The team demonstrates genuine care and concern for my parent's wellbeing, including proactive follow-up communication after appointments with helpful guidance. They have expedited various tests and shown considerable thoughtfulness and understanding throughout. Both my parent and I feel they are treated with dignity and individuality rather than as merely another patient. We are deeply appreciative of the entire team's approach. This has made a meaningful difference to my parent's sense of security and to me as their family member. This represents the most positive experience I have had with a medical practice throughout my life, and I would strongly recommend it to others in the locality.
