Rabid receptionists ruin an otherwise great medical practice

The medical professionals are exceptional, but the reception staff are a completely different story - akin to dealing with a pack of aggressive, snarling animals; discourteous, obstructive, and devoid of even the most basic interpersonal skills. They're always poised to attack before you've even finished your sentence. Case in point: I arrived to pick up a specific form after a prior confirmation call. The moment I mentioned my purpose, the receptionist immediately lashed out—without hesitation—declaring, "You can't just collect the form, it must first be authorized by the GP." I calmly responded, "That's precisely why I'm here." Evidently, common decency is an alien concept at their front desk. This isn't an isolated incident—hostile receptionists seem to be a standard hiring criterion for every medical practice in this area. I genuinely hope Riverside considers this feedback and invests in proper staff training—rather than defaulting to their typical dismissive "you're welcome to register elsewhere" attitude, as if patients have any real alternatives in the current deteriorating state of our healthcare system.
