Reception attitude made booking difficult

I requested an appointment and was instructed to complete an online form via a link provided by the surgery. During my interaction with the reception staff, I felt the service lacked warmth. Once I had submitted the form, I received a call suggesting I visit a pharmacy to speak with the pharmacist instead. The pharmacist subsequently contacted me following communication from reception. During our conversation, the pharmacist indicated that I should have been offered a doctor's appointment given my presenting symptoms. The pharmacist felt that a medical examination would have been appropriate and suggested the symptoms could indicate a respiratory concern that warranted professional assessment.
