Reception books appointments without checking availability

I felt dismissed when discussing my child's routine immunisation notifications. The healthcare professional questioned my account and requested documentation, despite this information being readily available through official NHS channels. Additionally, I experienced frustration with the appointment booking process. On a previous occasion, I was scheduled for a procedure after being assured it could be accommodated, only to be informed at the consultation that the service wasn't available at that time due to contractual limitations. This resulted in an unnecessary visit that could have been prevented with better initial verification of service availability. I also had concerns about my daughter's immunisation appointment, which only proceeded because I advocated for it to go ahead. Without this intervention, it would have been another appointment that didn't achieve its intended purpose.

Dear Sian We are sorry to receive your review and have taken a look at what happened. You presented with your child one month early for their vaccinations. The nurse checked with a GP on site who authorised. We struggle to see your issue here and would be most grateful if you could get in touch with more detail that may help us better understand your concerns. Please contact us at [email protected]
