Reception kept shifting appointment times around

This has been the most disappointing experience I have had at a medical practice. My child presented with a high temperature and swollen tonsils, so I contacted the surgery early in the morning to request an urgent appointment. Following an initial wait, the receptionist instructed me to call back at a later time, at which point they would arrange a face-to-face consultation. When I called back as directed, I was asked to wait again. Subsequently, I was informed that there were no available appointments. I expressed frustration about the inconsistency in the process, as I had been told to call back at a specific time only to be told the practice was fully booked. When I questioned why an appointment had not been offered during my first call, the response suggested a lack of clarity about what had been communicated. This experience felt frustrating and poorly coordinated.
