Reception mix-up left me without appointment

I arrived early in the morning for a television appointment and was informed by the receptionist that I could expect to be seen at around mid-morning. However, I did not receive the appointment as indicated. When I followed up later in the day, I was told that no appointment had actually been recorded in the system. With a bank holiday weekend approaching and my medication running low, this has created a difficult situation. I intend to lodge a formal complaint about this service failure.
