Reception staff chatting instead of helping patients

I have had a very poor experience at this practice. During my recent visit for my daughter's vaccination appointment, I encountered several issues that left me dissatisfied. The reception staff appeared to be frequently distracted with conversations amongst themselves. Additionally, there was a significant delay before being called in for the appointment. When I enquired about the status of my appointment, I had to ask the reception team multiple times before they checked with the clinical staff. Once called through, I observed the reception staff consulting with each other about which vaccine was needed, speaking in hushed tones that I could not hear clearly. I felt concerned that administrative staff were handling decisions about my daughter's medical care rather than the clinician, as I believed this posed a potential risk to her safety. I raised my concerns about this process and asked for information on how to formally report my experience, but did not receive clear guidance. I have since found the appropriate channels myself to lodge a complaint and am now seeking alternative care elsewhere.
