Reception staff could improve their manner

The reception staff at this practice could benefit from training in customer service and professional communication. Having visited three different surgeries across the local area, I can say that the reception experience here significantly detracts from what is otherwise a well-run practice. The doctors themselves provide good care when given the opportunity, but the initial contact with reception sets a negative tone from the first phone call. The artificial manner of the staff interactions makes the whole experience unpleasant. The practice is fortunate to be located in a busy area, as the reception team's approach would likely deter patients elsewhere.
