Reception staff didn't properly check the pharmacy details

Recently, I requested a medication adjustment at the pharmacy to discontinue a particular treatment. I was advised that the system typically requires between one and two weeks to process such changes. The following day, I visited my GP practice to follow up on this matter. A receptionist assisted me, took my details, and indicated that the system had been updated and I could return to collect my medication. However, I noticed the receptionist appeared distracted during this interaction, speaking with another person in the vicinity while attending to me. I then travelled to the pharmacy, only to discover that the medication was registered for collection at a different location than the one I had visited initially. This experience left me concerned that the level of attention and care given to processing my request may not have been adequate, and I felt the service fell short of the standard of support I would expect when managing my healthcare needs.
