Reception staff dismissed concerns without empathy

I had a very negative experience with this surgery. Several months ago, I contacted them on behalf of my father who was experiencing significant back pain and needed to see a doctor. I was assured that a doctor would call him back, but I explained that he would be in an area with poor phone signal due to work commitments. The receptionist's response suggested skepticism about the severity of his condition, which I found unhelpful and dismissive. More recently, my mother called after my father had attended A&E over the weekend. He was advised to book an urgent appointment with his GP for a referral to have a scan, but the earliest available slot was over a week away. The receptionist came across as unwelcoming and made the interaction feel like an inconvenience. I found the reception staff's approach to be particularly frustrating throughout both interactions. I would rate this practice very poorly based on these experiences and feel the service needs significant improvement.
