Reception staff made an already difficult situation worse

Accessing a routine appointment involves a lengthy waiting period of around a month. I have been unable to work due to significant symptoms related to hormonal changes. The experience at reception was distressing and emotionally difficult. Additionally, I was required to fast before a blood test scheduled for the afternoon, when a morning appointment would have been more appropriate. Subsequently, I was informed that the sample could not be located and would need to be retaken. The reception staff indicated that another blood test appointment would not be available for approximately another month and recommended attending an alternative facility instead. This experience left me feeling that the level of care provided was inadequate.
