Reception staff were dismissive and made me uncomfortable

I attended appointments at my previous practice where I felt the clinical guidance provided was not appropriate for my condition. Subsequently, I experienced significant ongoing health difficulties, and later specialist consultations suggested that my situation may be challenging to resolve, even with potential surgical intervention. I believe that a more thorough assessment and appropriate emergency care at the time could have made a difference to my outcome. When I raised concerns about my care, I felt that my complaint was not taken seriously or properly addressed. I also had concerns about the accuracy of my medical records and felt there were inconsistencies in the documentation of which clinicians I had seen. During my time at my previous practice, I found interactions with reception staff to be unhelpful and dismissive, which contributed to my overall sense of dissatisfaction with the service. The clinical team's manner also felt condescending and made me feel undervalued as a patient. Since transferring to my current practice, I have experienced a marked difference in the quality of care. Both the reception staff and clinical team demonstrate genuine attentiveness and compassion, creating a supportive environment that I did not experience previously.
