Reception was dismissive about midwife delays

I am in early pregnancy and have been waiting for two weeks without receiving contact from maternity services. When I called to follow up, the person who answered was dismissive and suggested I should be the one initiating contact with my assigned healthcare provider, despite not having been given their details or had an appointment arranged. I was told I should already have a phone number, which I do not possess as no one has reached out to me yet. I feel frustrated with the lack of communication and remain waiting to hear from the maternity team.
