Reception wouldn't help when I was unwell

I recently contacted my GP practice when I was unwell and attempted to book an appointment. However, the reception staff were unable to schedule me in and instead suggested I call back the following morning at a specific time. When I explained that I was feeling poorly and unable to work, I felt that the support I received was inadequate. I wanted to express my concern that when someone is ill and seeking medical assistance, it is disappointing not to receive the help needed in a timely manner.
