Receptionist dismissed concerns about medication access

Unable to obtain an appointment to discuss my child's seasonal allergy medication. I was informed that the treatment is not covered under the minor ailment scheme, contrary to what I had been told previously. After explaining how much my child was struggling, I was advised to attend accident and emergency if the situation became urgent. I felt frustrated that the condition could potentially be managed with appropriate medication rather than escalating to hospital care. I was very disappointed with this response, as any parent would be in this situation. I have decided to register my child with a different practice.
