Receptionist dismissive about vaccine appointment letter policy

I have been a patient at Front St GP's for a year. They have consistently been responsive to our family's appointment requests. All of the clinical staff I have encountered have been excellent. However, I do have a concern I would like to raise. The practice does not issue reminder letters for a particular childhood vaccination. I attended an appointment to enquire whether my child, who was approaching an important vaccination milestone, might have been overlooked from their contact system. The receptionist stated firmly that Front St does not send out reminders for this vaccination. When I attempted to provide feedback that this approach differs from standard NHS guidance recommending that practices should issue such reminders, particularly given current public health concerns, the receptionist's response felt dismissive rather than receptive. For context, we had been contacted regarding my child's other vaccinations. Our appointment has now been scheduled for two weeks after the relevant date. Had we not proactively contacted the practice, it appears my child would not have received this vaccination. This is concerning, given that improving vaccination coverage remains an important public health objective.
