Receptionist dismissive when calling about elderly relative

I called this morning regarding my mother who has recently been discharged from hospital and is experiencing back discomfort. I was frustrated by the receptionist's manner, which I felt lacked understanding of my mother's vulnerable situation. Given her age and the fact that she lives independently, I believe a home visit from a clinician would have been appropriate to assess her condition.
