Receptionist ended call over appointment confusion

I received a text notification about an appointment scheduled for the following morning at the local clinic. I was unaware of this booking, so I contacted the practice to clarify. I was told it would be conducted as a telephone consultation, which had not been mentioned in the text message. I explained that I needed to arrange a blood test but that this could not be done at the clinic location. I requested that a form be sent to me so I could attend the hospital for this test. The staff member said they would look into this. I then asked whether I could call ahead and have a form printed for collection if I visited at a convenient time. This request appeared to cause difficulty, and the receptionist terminated the call. I found this interaction disappointing, particularly as I had remained calm and courteous throughout. I am considering making a complaint to the relevant regulatory body about my experience with this practice.
