Receptionist refused to book appointment while on the phone

Disappointing experience. I attended the pharmacy with my young child and was directed to contact the medical centre. After calling, I was advised to ring 111 due to lack of same-day availability. I spent considerable time speaking with several representatives at 111 to arrange a telephone consultation with the medical centre. When the receptionist subsequently called back to relay that the clinician suggested ringing back the following morning, I requested that an appointment be scheduled during that call. The request was declined, which I found to be an frustrating approach to their booking procedures.
