Refused Prescription for My Autistic Child

Absolute worst general practice surgery imaginable. Since registering with this GP practice (recommended by a social worker after relocating), it's been a complete disaster. Booking an appointment is impossible, especially for urgent matters involving a child with autism. They arbitrarily removed repeat prescriptions previously issued by specialists that I'm still taking and critically need. Today, I sought medication for my child who recently received an Alopecia diagnosis from a specialist. The specialist clearly instructed, both verbally and in writing, that we should contact the GP for prescription renewal once the initial medication was exhausted. To my absolute horror, this GP flatly refused to prescribe my daughter's essential medication. My child is now left without crucial treatment. I was forced to contact Good Hope Hospital and speak with the specialist's secretary to address this unacceptable situation. This is utterly disgraceful. These staff demonstrate zero understanding or compassion towards patients. The only glimmer of hope was Dr. JAWEED. Last December, I nearly died needing antibiotics and steroids for severe asthma symptoms, which my previous GP always provided. Dr. RAY refused these life-saving medicines, leaving me terrified. Fortunately, Dr. JAWEED saved my life by immediately prescribing the necessary medication. Now she has left the practice - and I don't blame her. She was extraordinary and clearly found a better professional environment. Who regulates GPs in this country? Someone must intervene before more lives are needlessly endangered. Thank you.
