Repeated delays left without essential medication

I submitted a request for a repeat prescription to the practice a fortnight ago for my regular medication. Four days later, I received a text message indicating that a clinician wished to speak with me before dispensing the medication, with a consultation scheduled for a week ahead. This morning, I was notified via text that the clinician was unwell and my appointment has been rescheduled for the following week, meaning a further seven-day delay. As a result, I currently find myself without my regular medications. I have attempted to contact the surgery multiple times over the past half hour to request that another available clinician review and authorise my prescription, but I continue to reach an automated message stating that the lines are too busy to take my call. I am concerned about managing my health during this extended gap in my medication supply. The practice's operational processes appear to require significant review and improvement.
